Things to Bring
Here’s a handy checklist, to make sure you’re ready to play your character.
Important Note: You must submit your character sheet and character history by e-mail before the game, preferably by at least a week. I need time to look over characters before they’re cleared to play. Characters may not enter play until they’ve submitted their character sheet and a character history (even just a brief one) to an ST, and they have been approved. Get started early!
Before the game
[ ] Completed character sheet submitted to ST by e-mail and approved, including equipment list (if any).
[ ] Completed character history submitted to ST by e-mail and approved, including paradigm, virtue, and vice.
[ ] Choose your Rotes, and submit anything else that needs ST approval.
[ ] Read the information on setting, history, and politics to make sure you’re ready to portray your character.
[ ] Read over the rules a few times until you understand them. There’s no need to memorize everything before the game starts, but try to get an idea of how it works.
[ ] Make sure you know the location of the game, and the proper time. Remember to sign in when you arrive.
Things to bring to
the game
[ ] A pocket. Your costume needs some place to store your character sheet, cards, and chips.
[ ] One six-sided die. The ST may have extra, but don’t assume he will. This is easily stolen from Monopoly, Clue, Munchkin, etc.
[ ] A pencil, for marking down wounds and taking notes.
[ ] A small notepad, or something else to take notes on. (You can also scribble in the margins of your character sheet.) The ST will not refresh your memory if you forget something, so it’s a good practice to write down any facts you find important.
